I Want My MTV! Flixwagon Enlists Springboard Public Relations to Support Role in Super Tuesday Live Broadcasts

MARLBORO, NJ (February 1, 2008) – Springboard Public Relations, a marketing communications firm specializing in the technology industry, today announced it has been selected by Flixwagon to launch the company’s high-quality mobile-to-Web live video streaming technology. The technology will be utilized by Viacom’s MTV as part of its “Choose or Lose” Campaign during the Super Tuesday Presidential Primary event on February 5.

Flixwagon simplifies how people capture and share high quality video by enabling anyone with a capable 3G mobile phone to broadcast live directly to the Internet. With Flixwagon, users can “self-cast” their world to individuals and groups, streaming video to blogs, social networks and Web sites.

MTV is equipping 51 “citizen journalists” across 23 states with Flixwagon-enabled Nokia phones so they can broadcast live reports at various polling stations, caucuses, candidate rallies and everywhere young voters congregated on Super Tuesday.

“Flixwagon is changing how people capture and share video on the Web,” said Domenick Cilea, President, Springboard Public Relations. “User-generated content will continue to throttle self-expression on the Internet, and Flixwagon’s technology will play a unique role in helping bloggers, lifecasters, and citizen journalists capture and utilize video in interesting ways.”
