With the emergence of generative AI and platforms such as ChatGPT, it only makes sense that Google, one of the largest tech companies, intends to integrate this capability into their offerings as well.
Google will soon allow marketers to leverage the company’s generative artificial intelligence (AI) to create ad campaigns in the coming months.
Advertisers can provide text, images, or videos related to a specific campaign and Google’s AI capability can “remix” the content provided to generate an ad based on the targeted audience and other goals that a company is looking to reach and achieve.
From a marketing standpoint, I am interested to see how well these ads can reach the targeted audience that is requested, in addition to how well they can reach the objective of the ad campaign (website visits, engagement, etc.).
On the other hand, there are some concerns with AI regarding misinformation and some ChatGPT extension and apps containing malware and ransomware.
The quality of these ads and how accurate the information that is used will be a deciding factor for many companies going forward on whether they use this new capability or create the content themselves.
