To make the most of your Instagram Story, you should be familiar with all of the features and tools that the app has to offer. It’s also important to know exactly when the best days and times to post are so that your Stories receive high engagement rates, impressions, and ultimately, conversions.  

Instagram Story Formats 

  • Normal lets you post a regular photo or video up to 15-seconds long.

The best days and times to post on Instagram are: 

  • Wednesday at 3 p.m. 
  • Thursday at 5 a.m., 11 a.m., and 3p.m. to 4 p.m.  
  • Friday at 5 a.m. 

For nonprofits, the best days and times to post on Instagram are: 

  • Tuesday at 3 p.m. and 9 p.m.  
  • Wednesday 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.  
  • Thursday 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.  
  • Friday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
