Summer Might be Ending but Wendy’s is Still Bringing the Heat

Are you one of the many that dreamt of the day that Wendy’s would bring back spicy chicken nuggets? If you are, I’m sure you’ve picked up a few orders by now. But if you haven’t heard, the fast food chain re-released the fan favorite menu item – and they’re only dishing out two million nuggets!   

So, who can we thank for this major comeback? Chance the Rapper.

Back in the May, the artist tweeted out some positive vibes, which Wendy’s took notice to. But they weren’t going to act too quickly; they decided to put the Twitterverse to the test.  

In just two short days, the tweet reached 2.1 million likes and Wendy’s of course held up their end of the deal. They shared that they would bring back the spicy nuggets to restaurants nationwide on August 19. 

Wendy’s die-hards were beyond excited, but they just couldn’t wait. They sent out more hopeful tweets asking if the chain could release them any sooner – and sure enough, they did. They upped their release date by a week and social media went crazy.
